Bridget Scarr has had a soft spot for creative media since she was young. In line with this she went to Rhodes University where she achieved her Bachelor’s Degree in Drama -Cum Laude with a specialty in journalism, English literature, politics, and music. This is where her content writing and production career began. Since then she has been involved in numerous TV commercials, animations and even TV shows which she has either written, produced, or directed.
Scarr’s works extend across different media platforms reaching a different audience. She has projects running on television sets, exhibitions, and virtual reality gadgets. The content she delivers across these mediums is delivered to a different targeted audience with the aim of connecting with them emotionally and arousing creative thinking.
In her career, she has successfully overseen the growth of teams producing different aspects of entertainment modules including drama, documentaries, cartoons, and many others. These projects have been for different platforms including marketing, animation, and television.
She has worked for several production companies. Between 2005 and 2006, she was based in South Africa where she was the production manager of Urban Brew Studios. Here she was involved in projects like You are Hired, Amstel Salute of Success, and various other projects. She joined Primary Films in 2006, and she was a TV Producer where she delivered several projects for DSTV. The same year she was hired as a TV Producer for Bite Animation where she directed the production of various animations for different clients including BMW and Apple.
In 2010, she co-founded Zero point Studios. Here, she was directly involved in the company’s collaboration with other international media companies to produce 2D and 3D animations which included a TV series for children. She has been a partner at Pollen Creative Media since 2008, where the partnership ended in 2015. At Pollen Creative media, she oversaw the production of various advertising content for various clients. She ensured production of high ended and quality content for all her customers. From 2016, she has been the executive producer at Colibri Studios. This is where her involvement in cross-platform production has come in handy. The company engages in the production, directing, and post production of content for different platforms to a different audience.
Apart from TV, she is working on her first novel as well as her first album. She describes creative production as her way of life that not only provides her a means of living but also means by which she expresses herself to the world.
